Skin care experts have a lot to say when it comes to effectively taking care of our skin. In this post, we have prepared four tips that experts would usually tell their clients. Curious about what they are? Read along and find out. Let’s begin!
Be Gentle On Your Face
When washing your face, don’t use abrasive puffs. Simply use your fingertips. However, if your beauty routine involves using a washcloth, make sure to choose one the is gentle on the skin. Look for ones that are perfect for babies.
Feed Your Skin
Getting too much sun exposure can be unhealthy for your skin and make it dry. It’s a good thing that there’s a cool remedy for that. You can prepare a calming bath with warm water, a one-half gallon of milk, and some drops of lavender oil. Also, you can puree watermelon and slather it on your skin. It is a good anti-inflammatory.
Don’t Smoke. Ever.
Smoking is known to make breakouts worse. When you smoke, lesser oxygen gets to the skin. It also withholds the delivery of nutrients which can make scars heal slower than if you don’t smoke. Another reason not to smoke is that it will worsen face lines and take away the moisture of the skin, making it look dull.
Be Careful When Cleaning Your Home
People with sensitive skin should be careful during house cleaning. You will be exposed to chemicals in the cleaning products, and they can cause reactions. However, what you can do is to make your own non-toxic cleaner. Mix in half a cup of vinegar with a quarter cup of baking soda into two quarts of water. For your laundry, go for dye-free detergents.
You have to treat your skin well and not be too rough on it. When scrubbing or exfoliating, be as gentle as you can so that you don’t harm the top most layers of your skin. These layers keep the moisture in and make your skin looking young. How about you, do you know other tips from the skin care experts? Make sure to share them with us by commenting below!
